  1. Amber. Terrific job on your presentation. Your project really illustrates an effective action research project. I like how you integrated what didn't go well and how you two shifted to address what wasn't going well, as indicated by your students' feedback. Well done!

  2. Hello Amber:
I really enjoyed your presentation. We did something very similar. I wonder, was the survey turned in without student names? I appreciate that you included the fact that the materials used in class were tied in to the interactive website for the same materials. This wasn't the case for what my mentee used, since she was focusing on language arts. Very good job.

  3. Amber,
I, too, did a project using Mimio. My project was in Kindergarten, so our data collections will look very different. It was nice to see the same project from a different perspective. I liked it. I thought you did a very nice job.

  4. Amber - your research is so thorough - nice work! Taking the time to not only gather data for time on task, but also giving the students weekly surveys was a great idea! Not only did it provide you with some great data, it gave you information you could actually use as the teacher was teaching the content - a great case for action research!

  5. I like how you looked at a tool that was already related to the program that you are using. It is very helpful because it is not a big shift or change for our students, which can be difficult. It uses what students are already familiar with and builds on it to increase student engagement and interaction.

Many of my students have also complained about taking tests. They know the material, but when it comes to taking tests it seems they are so nervous about the fact that it is a “test” that they lose focus, concentration, and an understanding of what they had previously learned. I wonder if using the online test generator would help students with this test anxiety?

I am looking forward to exploring this technology tool more as we also use Envision at our school.

    Great job on your project!
